One of the problems with the initial firmware for the Z nikon cameras was that they were not good at tracking focus on animals. I upgraded to version 3.0 and retested.Being who I am, I used Charlotte as a model -- and artificial light on a winter's evening.The autofocus got her eyes. As the shot is wide open, her body and dog tag were blurred.Nikon has released a revision of the firmware and I will test again.
